The 1924 South Carolina United States Senate election was held on November 4, 1924 to select the U.S. Senator for a six-year term from the state of South Carolina. Coleman Livingston Blease won the Democratic primary and was unopposed in the general election to win the six-year term to the Senate. ==Democratic primary== Incumbent Senator Nathaniel B. Dial was opposed in the Democratic primary by Coleman Livingston Blease and James F. Byrnes. On August 26, Blease and Byrnes emerged as the top vote getters in the first primary. Blease won the runoff election on September 9 and was elected to a six-year term in the Senate because there was no opposition to the Democratic candidate in the general election.
